Meet your coach! I'm Marina Pace, a passionate health and wellness coach, mother of two, devoted wife, and driving force behind the vision of Vital Life.
With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Humboldt, my academic journey laid the foundation for my deep understanding of the intricacies of the human body and psychology. Complementing my academic background, I am a certified health and wellness coach accredited by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) , committed to bringing evidence-based practices to guide you on your health journey.
My personal health journey has been a transformative exploration. As an athletic teenager, I grappled with mysterious, intermittent joint pain. Given my elevated anxiety levels, doctors suggested that the joint pain might be psychosomatic, emphasizing the importance of stress reduction. In my twenties, determined to find answers, I embarked on a journey that revealed the powerful impact of a gluten-free diet, nutrient-dense foods, regular exercise, yoga, meditation, and herbal medicine. This experience helped deepen my understanding how stress affects the body in a myriad of ways. Now, in this phase of my life, this journey is an ongoing endeavor to achieve optimal health as I continue to navigate life's changes that come with aging. Through this ongoing experience, I've learned that achieving optimal health always includes loving myself in whatever body and phase I am in. This firsthand experience fuels my dedication to guiding others, especially those in midlife, toward optimal health through personalized and holistic approaches.
Beyond coaching, my life is a vibrant tapestry of diverse interests. I am a Vinyasa flow yoga instructor, a soulful jazz singer, an herbalist exploring the wonders of plant medicine, a dedicated gardener, and a passionate homesteader. My enthusiasm for culinary arts extends to the kitchen, where I find joy in creating nourishing and delicious meals that support a healthy lifestyle.
Giving back to the community is at the heart of who I am. Currently serving as the fundraiser chair on a nonprofit group, supporting my children's charter school, I'm actively involved in creating positive educational environments. My commitment extends to the classroom, where I volunteer, bringing my passion for learning and well-being to the next generation.
